CORNELL — A fire destroyed a garage and two vehicles parked inside in Cornell Township Tuesday afternoon, according to the Cornell Township Volunteer Fire Department which responded to the blaze. No injuries were reported.

The garage, owned by Bruce Andrews of 9728 River J.5 Road, is suspected to have caught fire from a battery charger that overheated, said a fire department official.

In addition to the garage and vehicles being destroyed by the blaze, siding melted on a neighboring home. Firefighters remained at the scene for more than two hours.
