Life Line to offer screenings in the region for a fee

ESCANABA — Life Line Screenings of America will provide services for a cost on Dec. 10 and 11 in Escanaba and Gladstone.

Its screenings aim to determine people’s risk levels for stroke, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other serious and chronic conditions, Life Line states in a news release.

“Designed by doctors and administered by trained professionals, our screenings can help detect hidden health issues before they become a serious problem,” Life Line states. “Using ultrasound technology, Life Line Screening can now actually see inside your arteries for plaque buildup, one of the leading causes of stroke.”

Different package options are available for purchase. Screening results are available within 14 days of an appointment, according to Life Line.

On Wednesday, Dec. 10, Life Line will provide screenings at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1230 18th St. N. in Escanaba. On Thursday, Dec. 11, screening will take place at 1920 Lake Shore Drive in Gladstone.

Pre-registration is required, and spaces are filling up for both days. Interested persons may call 800-772-8243 or go online lifelinescreening.com.

Since 1993, Life Line has performed more than 11 million screenings. They reported that in 2023, 630,000 customers were screened at more than 14,000 locations across the nation, and about 46,000 abnormal results were identified, including 10,116 that were critical.

Starting at $3.50/week.
