ESCANABA – Heidi Kaye Rasmussen became the bride of Andrew Alan Bunch during a 3 p.m. ceremony performed by Rev. William Rafuse at Escanaba Free Lutheran Church on Aug. 29. Mrs. Linda Frisk, Heidi’s former piano teacher, served as pianist for the ceremony.

Heidi’s parents are Douglas and Laurie Rasmussen of Gladstone, and Andrew’s parents are Donald Bunch of Powers and Suzanne Gaudette of Escanaba.

Andrew graduated from Escanaba High School in 2007, Bay de Noc Community College in 2010, and Lake Superior State University in 2013 with a degree in criminal justice. He is employed by the City of Menominee.

Heidi graduated from Gladstone High School in 2009, Bay de Noc Community College in 2011, and Lake Superior State University in 2014 with a degree in liberal studies as well as minors in dance and theatre. She is employed by A&E Jewelers of Marinette and First Street Academy of Dance in Menominee.

Heidi chose for her attendants matron of honor, Bonnie Cassidy; maid of honor, Ashley Burger; and bridesmaids, Kitty and Susie Drockton. The flower girls were Hannah Cummings and Natalie Paquette, cousins of the bride.

Andrew chose best man, Patrick Church; and groomsmen, Kristoffer Rusch, Lance Rasmussen, brother of the bride, and Bryan Hurthibise. Jacob Landis, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer; ushers were Ralph LaFave and Kyle Vincent.

Following the ceremony, the couple and their families welcomed and entertained guests at a reception at the Escanaba Township Hall.

After a honeymoon trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple is at home in Marinette, Wis.
