Soo Line Steam Engine Authority meeting
GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Michigan Soo Line Steam Engine #730 Authority will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 13 at 4:30 p.m. at 817 Delta Avenue in Gladstone.
New members are encouraged to join. Agenda items will include the 2024 Soo Line Historical Society Convention, to be held in Gladstone, and future fundraisers planned for next spring and summer.
Steak feed dinner
GLADSTONE — The American Legion Post 71, of Gladstone, will host a steak feed dinner on the last Thursday of the month, Feb. 23, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The public is welcome.
Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program
ESCANABA — The Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program recognizes that there are many families who are raising another family member’s child or providing foster care for other children in our community.
Grandparents raising grandchildren are invited to attend meetings on the second Thursday of each month for support, a meal and a little respite time with other adults. Meetings are held from 5 to 7 p.m. at 1905 South 21st Street Escanaba.

Benefit for Glen Gagnon
ESCANABA — A benefit dinner for Glen Gagnon will be held Sunday, April 16, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Highland Golf Club.
Gagnon is a lifelong resident of Schaedder, Mich. who was recently diagnosed with stage 3 small cell bladder cancer. All proceeds will go to Gagnon’s healthcare and travel expenses.
AAUW Book Night
ESCANABA — On Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m., the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will hold book night. Members and guests are invited to bring a favorite book to share during an evening of good conversation and food.

AAUW is open to men and women holding and associates degree or higher. Formed in 1881, the organization promotes equality for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.
