All-you-can-eat breakfast
GLADSTONE — The American Legion Post 71 of Gladstone will be hosting an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Sunday, Jan. 15. Breakfasts are held the third Sunday of each month.
Food will be served from 9 a.m. to noon.
Rapid Readers to meet
RAPID RIVER — The first novel of 2023 that will be discussed by the Rapid Readers book club is “Walk in My Combat Boots” by Patterson. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 10 a.m. at Jack’s Restaurant.
The book choice for the Wednesday, Feb. 15 is Marta Molnar’s “The Secret Life of Sunflowers.”

Faith formation classes
ESCANABA — Adult Catholic faith formation classes resume Wednesday, Jan. 11. The next topic will be “Are Angels Real or Fairy Tale?”
The class will take place each Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Holy Name Grade School Commons. Anyone interested in attending is welcome to come as they are able.
Pasty sale
ESCANABA — St. Thomas Church in Escanaba will hold a pasty sale Jan. 18 and 19. No pre-orders will be accepted, and pasties will be sold on a first-come first-serve basis. Pickup is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Taco Tuesday returns
GLADSTONE — Taco Tuesday is back at the American Legion in Gladstone. Tacos will be served every Tuesday from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m.
