Concert at Ford River Community Chapel

FORD RIVER — The Ford River Community Chapel will be hosting an outdoor concert on Aug. 1 at 6 p.m. Ike and Debbie Micheau will present “The Gospel In Music,” including traditional hymns, blues and Southern gospel.

Light refreshments will be served. A free-will offering will be collected with 100 percent of proceeds going to the Ford River Volunteer Fire Department.

Library book sale

STEPHENSON — The Menominee County Library Friends “Super-Hot Book Sale” will kick off Saturday, July 24, and run through Aug. 31 in the Bookmobile garage, located off the alley behind the library. The library is located at S. 319 Railroad St. in Stephenson.

The sale — which features used books, DVDs, puzzles, and other items — will be open Saturday between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. All proceeds will go towards enhancing library programs and projects.
