UMC Harvest Supper

BARK RIVER — The Bark River United Methodist Church will be hosting its annual Harvest Supper on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. EST. A free-will donation will be taken at the door. The church is handicap accessible.

Bark River Senior Center activities

BARK RIVER — The Bark River Seniors meet each Wednesday for a Meals-on-wheels dinner at 11:30 a.m. EST. There is a cost for the meal.

The coffee pot will be on and there will be opportunities for visiting and cards beginning at 9 a.m. Sit-&-Fit exercises begin at 10 a.m., for those interested. Bingo follows lunch. Any inquiries can be directed to Chris at 906-241-7158.

Escanaba Eagles to hold breakfast Sunday

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles 1088 will serve their fifth breakfast Sunday, Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Eagles Hall, located at 608 Ludington St. in Escanaba.

Alano Club to celebrate 36th anniversary

GLADSTONE — The 36th anniversary celebration of the Delta Alano Club will be Sunday, Sept. 29. The day’s activities begin at 3:36 p.m. with the annual meeting. Guest speaker will be Cory L. A potluck supper will follow the talk.

First Elks Auxiliary meeting of the season

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Elks Auxiliary will meet on Thursday, Oct. 3. The social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner meeting starting at 7 p.m. The theme this month is “tailgate party,” and members are encouraged to show team spirit and dress accordingly.

Escanaba Class of 1970

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Area High School Class of 1970 will hold a reunion meeting at Breezy Point Bar Oct. 8 starting at 5 p.m. All classmates are welcome to attend.

Reflections of Grace

ESCANABA — Reflections of Grace Ministries will be at Blessed Hope Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. Clare and Janice Bishop and daughter Alyssa Jones and her husband Greg will be presenting an evening of music and message from scripture. From Lower Michigan, the Bishop family travels to small churches throughout Michigan encouraging pastors and people, believing the backbone of Christianity in America is small churches.

Spaghetti dinner Oct. 12

TRENARY — The Trenary United Methodist Church will be hosting a spaghetti dinner on Oct. 12 from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. at the church in Trenary. A free-will offering will be collected, with 10 percent of funds raised given back to the community.

Holy Name High School Class of 1960 meeting

ESCANABA — The Holy Name High School Class of 1960 will hold a reunion planning meeting and lunch on Oct. 17 at 12:30 p.m., at Hereford and Hops.
