Students spend school year recycling

Courtesy photo The Rapid River students in Ms. Larson’s 5th grade classroom have been learning through action. Each week, they went room to room picking up paper, plastic, and cardboard throughout the school year. Every classroom in the building participated in this recycling effort. This year, the students estimate that they recycled 3,000 pounds of paper, plastic, and cardboard. The students are proud that they are helping to reduce waste heading to the landfill.
