ESCANABA — Northern United Federal Credit Union awarded $1,000 in scholarships to two 2019 high school graduates: Kathryn Wilson and Haillie McDonough. This is the fourteenth year the scholarships have been awarded, recognizing student members’ scholastic ability, personal integrity, and the enthusiasm to better humanity.

Wilson graduated from Escanaba High School. While in school she was a member of the National Honors Society, was involved in Mo Buddies, was on the honor roll and was on the softball and the volleyball teams. This fall she will be attending Bay de Noc Community College to study nursing.

McDonough graduated from Escanaba High School. While in school she was a member of the National Honors Society, a member of Key Club, and was on the volleyball and basketball teams. This fall she will be attending Grand Valley State University to study biomedical science.
