GREEN BAY, Wis. — Dance It Up Dance Studio’s competitive group recently performed at the Thunderstruck Dance competition in Green Bay, Wis., competing against over 200 other dance entries across the region. Dancers are adjudicated for their individual or group performances and are then eligible for overall competition awards.

The following solo and group dancers were recognized:

Petite Small Group

–Avah Akerley, Taylor Williams, Ashlyn Schettek, Makenna Mills, and Kendra Ault received elite high gold and placed 6th overall. (Jazz)

— Aurora Demers, Gia Hieshetter, Gracie Perry, Allison Segerstorm and Amy Knaffle received an elite high gold. (Jazz)

Junior Small Group

— Lindsey Maloney, Teegan Van Tassell, Joselyn Mills, Ella Johnson and Charlotte Maloney received high gold and placed first overall. (Jazz)

Teen Group

— Alexis Nagy, Madison Niswonger, Abby Durst, Emily Tryan, Bri Jones, Adrian Brazeau, Miranda Barteld, Addison Occhietti and Mercedes McPerson received Lightning Gold and placed first overall. (Contemporary)

— Malia Stube, Kyra Carlson, Calista Watchorn, Olivia Kingren, Carley Schoenow received elite high gold. (Jazz)

Junior Duet

— Alexis Nagy and Malia Stube received a Lightning Gold and placed first overall. (Jazz)

— Malia Stube received Lightning Gold and placed 1st overall. (Lyrical) Malia also captured the future star junior division High Point Award. She earned this award by outscoring 35 other dancers in her division.
