Breakfast at Eagles

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles 1088 will serve breakfast Sunday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Eagles Hall located at 608 Ludington Street in Escanaba.

The public is welcome to attend. There is a fee to attend breakfast. For more information, call the Escanaba Eagles Club at 906-786-3451.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd., Sunday, July 14 from 1 to 5 p.m. Come enjoy the music of Ron Jay & The Country Strangers.

There is a cost at the door. A free will donation lunch will be provided. For more information, call Alice at 356-6588. All proceeds benefit the Senior Corporation.

Bark River Class of ’56

Pain management class

ESCANABA — North Woods Place Senior Living is hosting a pain management series by UPCAP beginning June 20. Classes will meet every Thursday for six weeks from 1 to 3:30 p.m., excluding July 4. Seniors living with chronic pain will learn to manage their symptoms and learn from others with similar challenges.

To attend the free series, RSVP to UPCAP at 906-786-4701. Meetings will be held at North Woods Place Senior Living, 501 S. Lincoln Rd., Escanaba.

Day camp at the Historical Society

ESCANABA — The Delta County Historical Society will be presenting a hands-on children’s day camp for ages 7 to 9 on July 16 titled “A Child’s Life in Early Escanaba.”

A 19th century boxed lunch will be provided. Day camp hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Applications for the day camp can be picked up at the museum between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

There is a cost the reigister. Checks are payable to The Delta County Historical Society and may be mailed to Ellie O’Donnell at 601 Ogden Avenue or dropped off at the museum.

Gladstone Class of ’68

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone High School Class of 1968 will be holding a picnic on July 6, at the Gladstone Small Pavillion. Classmates are asked to bring a dish to pass. Meat will be provided.

Croatian Golf Open

GLADSTONE — The 49th Annual Croatian Golf Open 9-hole event will be held on June 30 at the Irish Oaks Golf Course. Check in starts at noon and golfing starts at 1 p.m. There is a cost for the golfing and meal.

The event is open to all persons of Croatian descent and their families. At least one member of the family must be of Croatian descent. Croatian chicken and povitica along with other menu items will be served.

American Legion ­breakfast June 16

GLADSTONE — The American Legion in Gladstone will serve breakfast Sunday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to noon. The public is welcome.

IXL Historical Museum birthday party June 23

HERMANSVILLE — The IXL Historical Museum in Hermansville will host its 137th birthday party June 23 from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. CDT. Children under 10 are admitted free. The entrance fee will include live music and tours.

Birthday cupcakes and lemonade will be available for purchase. Money earned from this event will go towards roofing the IXL office building. Bring your lawn chairs, family, and friends and spend the afternoon.
