Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd., on Sunday, July 14 from 1 to 5 p.m. Come enjoy the music of Ron Jay & The Country Strangers.

There is a cost at the door. A free-will donation lunch will be provided.

Breakfast at Eagles

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles 1088 will serve breakfast Sunday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Eagles Hall located at 608 Ludington Street in Escanaba.

The public is welcome to attend. There is a fee to attend breakfast. For more information, call the Escanaba Eagles Club at 906-786-3451.

Summer meal program

GLADSTONE — The Meet Up and Eat Up Program will begin in Gladstone on June 17 at the James T. Jones School cafeteria.

Meals will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. All children 18 and under eat free. There is a small fee for adult meals.

All are welcome.

Eskymo Fan Club to host golf outing

ESCANABA — The Eskymo Fan Club will hold its annual golf outing Thursday, June 27 at the Escanaba Country Club. Start will be at noon.

This year, the event is sponsored by local community banks. There will be a cash raffle with a top prize of $5,000. Raffle tickets are on sale from any committee member, Upper Peninsula State Bank, First Bank, Baybank, Wickert’s Floral, Escanaba Country Club and the main office at Escanaba High School.

Bay de Noc Lions Club

WELLS — The Bay de Noc Lions “Community Service” Club and future E-Club welcomes everyone interested in their group to join other volunteers on Thursday, June 27 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Wells Township Hall in Wells.

Guests are asked to bring ideas for community service projects and should expect to experience personal growth and witness the impact they will have helping others.

North Woods UPCAP pain management class

ESCANABA — North Woods Place Senior Living is hosting a pain management series by UPCAP beginning June 20. Classes will meet every Thursday for six weeks from 1 to 3:30 p.m., excluding July 4. Seniors living with chronic pain will learn to manage their symptoms and learn from others with similar challenges.

To attend the free series, RSVP to UPCAP at 906-786-4701. Meetings will be held at North Woods Place Senior Living, 501 S. Lincoln Rd., Escanaba.

Esky Class of 1949

ESCANABA — Escanaba’s graduating class of 1949 is having a casual reunion get-together at the Stonehouse Friday, June 28 at noon.

Line dancing class at Gladstone Senior Center

GLADSTONE — If you can walk, you can line dance. The Gladstone Senior Center hosts senior line dancing every Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

There are no fees, and you do not need to be a member of the Senior Center to participate. Line dancing requires no partner or special equipment, and the center has a wide variety of musical genres.

Toastmasters to meet

ESCANABA — Bay De Noc Toastmasters develops communication and leadership skills every Wednesday, except the last Wednesday of the month, at noon in the Penstar Building, located at 1431 N. 26th St. in Escanaba.
