ESCANABA — The United States Army has announced the enlistment of Brandon W. Luedtke of Escanaba, Mich. He is a 2015 graduate of Mid-Peninsula High School in Rock, and the son of Jenny Cooper of Wallace, Mich. and Joel Luedtke of Escanaba.

Private Luedtke enlisted April 11, 2019 and selected the job of infantry recruit. He will attend one station unit training at Fort Benning, Ga.

Luedtke will receive a $10,000 cash bonus and the post 9/11 GI bill to further his education after his service.
