Another Wednesday with Bernie set

ESCANABA — The photographs of Bernie Schultz, an Escanaba Daily Press photographer, will be presented by Rich Anzalone at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Heirman Center, Bay de Noc College as part of the Delta County Historical Society winter Outreach Series. Admission is free.

A Journey Through Grief to meet April 25

ESCANABA — “A Journey Through Grief” is a bereavement support group presented on behalf of UP Health System Hospice. This is a non-denominational support group that is open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. It provides educational materials and guide discussions on a variety of topics to assist those in the grieving process.

“A Journey Through Grief” is offered the last Thursday of every month. The next session is scheduled for Thursday, April 25, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

The group will be facilitated by Lewis Hague, UP Health System Hospice bereavement coordinator and coordinated by Gayle DeShambo, account executive for UP Health System Hospice.

This support group is open to anyone in our community that is grieving the loss of a loved one.

Ham radio exams in Gladstone Saturday

GLADSTONE — The Delta County Amateur Radio Society will be holding ham radio exams in Gladstone on Saturday, April 13. Applicants need to bring a photo ID and there is a fee to cover the cost of the exam. Upgrade applicants need to also bring a photocopy of their license. The testing will begin at 10 a.m. at the Gladstone City Hall.

Class of 1954 reunion

ESCANABA — The Class of 1954 will be holding a reunion Aug. 24 at the Escanaba Country Club. Call Barb Bartley at 786-5254 if you plan to attend.

Choir will present

annual Easter Cantata

ROCK –The Rock-Perkins Area Cantata Choir will present its annual Easter Cantata this year performing — The Body of Christ, by Pepper Choplin. The choir will perform twice, 4 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Rock, and 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins. Refreshments and fellowship will follow after each performance. A free will offering will be accepted to help with the cost of music.

Gladstone American Legion Breakfast

GLADSTONE — The American Legion Post 71 in Gladstone will be serving breakfast on Sunday April 14, from 9 a.m. until noon. The public is welcome.

St. Anthony’s Pasty Sale scheduled

ESCANABA — St. Anthony’s Church is having a pasty sale on April 25 and 26 from 2 to 5 p.m. Pickup is at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba.

Dance set at Rock Senior Center

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Road, on Sunday, April 14, from 1 to 5 p.m.. Music will be provided by Old Friends. There is a fee to attend and a free will donation for lunch. For more information call Alice at 356-6588.

All proceeds benefit the senior corporation.
