American Legion ­meeting set for Sept. 9

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71, located at 802 Delta Ave. in Gladstone, will hold its regular meeting Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. The executive board will meet at 6:15 p.m.

Post 340 to hold ­meeting in Hermansville

HERMANSVILLE — The Floriano-Stecker-Kelly American Legion Post 340 of Hermansville will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. at the American Legion club rooms in Hermansville.

Fish or chicken dinner in Gladstone Sept. 14

GLADSTONE — A dinner featuring fried fish or chicken will take place Friday, Sept. 14 at Memorial United Methodist Church, located at 1920 Lake Shore Ave. in Gladstone.

Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Kids age 7 and under eat free.

A community concert will follow at 8 p.m. with a free will offering.

Legion meeting in Escanaba Township

FLAT ROCK — The regular monthly meeting of the Escanaba River American Legion Post 115 and the auxiliary will be held at the Escanaba Township hall at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Right to Life to meet Sept. 11 at Bay College

ESCANABA — Right to Life of Delta County will meet Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. in room 261 of the Joseph Heirman University Center at Bay College. Delta County MARSP to meet Sept. 11 in Harris

HARRIS — The Delta County Chapter of MARSP will hold its September meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at noon (eastern time) at the Island Resort and Casino.

Shannon Taylor, executive director of Hope at the Inn, will present the program.

There is a charge for the luncheon.
