71st Fall Festival at St. Rita Parish in Trenary

TRENARY — St. Rita Parish in Trenary will hold its annual Fall Festival on the parish grounds on Sunday, Sept. 9. A harvest dinner featuring turkey with all the trimmings will be served from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the parish hall. There is a fee for the dinner, but children under five eat free. Take-out dinners will be available.

Special games for young and old alike will be featured on the grounds, including bingo. There will be a silver dollar game, craft and baked goods booths, a refreshment stand and music by Mary Lynn and Doug. The raffle drawing will be held at 4 p.m.

Everyone is welcome. Please note that Sunday Mass will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 9.

Menominee County MARSP sets meeting

MENOMINEE — The Menominee County chapter of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will meet on Thursday, Sept. 13 at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Rd. 338 in Carbondale. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. Central time, and lunch will be served at noon Central time. There is a cost for the lunch.

The program for the day will be presented by Pastor Dave Pennell. Pennell will present a virtual tour of the Abundant Life Homeless Shelter. Members are encouraged to bring a paper product, cleaning product or new bed pillow for donation to the shelter. A business meeting will follow the program. Dance in Rock Sept. 9

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Road, on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 1 to 5 p.m. Music will be provided by The County Express. There is a cost to attend the dance, and a free will donation lunch will be available.

Sons of the American Legion chicken dinner

GLADSTONE — Sons of the American Legion Squadron 71 is hosting a Croatian chicken dinner on Sunday, Sept. 9, from 3 to 6 p.m. It will be held at the American Legion, 802 Delta Avenue, Gladstone.

The Legion asks that you call ahead and reserve your dinner, as there is a limited amount of chickens available. To make a reservation, call 906-428-1050. You may take out the dinners or eat in at the hall.

Delta Coin Club sets meeting for Sept. 11

GLADSTONE — The next meeting of the Delta Coin Club is set for Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. The club meets every second Tuesday at 817 Delta Ave. Gladstone.
