St. Anthony calendar raffle winners named

WELLS — Winners of the St. Anthony Calendar Raffle for June are:

Rick Rudden, who won $75; Sherman Martin, who won $60; St. Anthony Church, won $50; Laura Brown, St. Anthony Church, Theresa Pascoe, Aylah Seder each won $25; and the Feast Day winner was Randal Gascon, who won $50.

Country Strangers at Amvets Friday night

ESCANABA — Amvets Post 123, located at 1315 North Lincoln Road in Escanaba, is featuring country band Country Strangers from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, June 22. The public is welcome.

Musical tribute at IXL Historical Museum

HERMANSVILLE — The IXL Historical Museum, W5561 River Street, Hermansville, will sponsor Bill Jamerson’s presentation of “Dollar-a-Day Boys,” a musical tribute to the Civilian Conservation Corps on Sunday, June 24 at 2 p.m. CST.

No admission fee will be charged but donations are appreciated. Bring your lawn chairs.

Beginner line dancing

GLADSTONE — If you can walk, you can line dance. A beginner line dance class will run for six weeks at the Gladstone Senior Center starting Friday, June 22 from 10 to 11 a.m.

There are no fees, and you do not need to be a member of the senior center to participate.

The center has loads of great oldies music, and line dancing requires no partner or special equipment. Please call 428-2843 to register or for more information.

Escanaba Class of 1998 reunion planned

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Class of 1998 is seeking contact information for any classmates who have not received an invite to the 20th class reunion. The reunion will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11.

There are many classmates who have not been contacted to date. All invites have been sent via email and/or Facebook. Please direct any inquiries to above email as well.

Benefit concert, wine tasting set for July 15

BARK RIVER — The second program in a summer benefit concert series at Northern Sun Winery, now in its third year, supports Bonifas Art Center programs. Returning for their second appearance in series is the internationally-traveled duo Genna and Jesse on July 15. The duo describes their music as “retro soul pop.”

Bring lawn chairs or blankets, and the concert will take place rain or shine. Picnic lunches and snacks are encouraged, but no carry-in alcoholic beverages are allowed. Wine tastings will take place all afternoon, with a free vineyard tour at 3 p.m. Tickets, with wine tasting coupons are available in at a discount in advance at the winery, Bonifas Art Center and Delta County Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are also available on the day of concert.

The vineyard is located south of Bark River. Follow Pure Michigan directional signs from U.S. 2 and vineyard signs along D Road (South Bark River Road).

Other summer concerts in the series included U.P. Gumbo on June 17 and will include Kitty Donohoe on Aug. 19.

Taco Tuesday hosted by Legion Post 71 returns

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71 welcomes the public to Taco Tuesday each week at the Gladstone Legion Hall, 802 Delta Ave.
