Amvets host Country Roads tonight at 7 p.m.

ESCANABA — Amvets post 123 at 1315 North Lincoln Road in Escanaba are featuring country band Cross Roads from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday, June 15. The public is welcome.

Lions breakfast Sunday

ROCK — The Rock Lions monthly third Sunday, all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet will take place on Sunday, June 17 Fathers Day at the Rock Lions Club on M-35 in Rock.

There is a cost to attend. Children ages five and under eat free.

The monthly breakfast is held at the Rock Lions Clubhouse. The facility is available for rent by calling Jerry at (906) 356-6475. The Rock Lions Club is a non-profit service organization that provides funding for charitable organizations and local needs.

Escanaba Area High School Class of 1968

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Area High School Class of 1968 is holding a planning meeting for the upcoming 50 year reunion.

The meeting will be held at Drifters Restaurant at 2 p.m. on Monday June 18. All classmates who mat be interested in helping with the reunion are welcome to attend.

Dance in Trenary June 17

TRENARY — There will be a dance held at the Trenary Community Building on June 17, from 1 to 5 p.m. Music will be by Cedar Creek.

Retired Teamsters to meet June 20 in Esky

ESCANABA — The Teamsters Retirees Club of Delta County will meet on Wednesday, June 20, at the Escanaba Civic Center, 225 N. 21st Street, Escanaba.

Lunch is at noon, with the meeting to follow at 12:30 p.m. The lunch menu will include ham roll-ups, scalloped potatoes, peas and pineapple tidbits.

All teamsters are invited to attend. A 50/50 drawing will be held.

Lunch reservations must be made at least one day in advance by calling (906) 786-8850 between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Reservations can also be made any day during those hours up to a week before the meeting date.

Kiwanis Club holds meeting Wednesday

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone – Rapid River Kiwanis Club holds weekly meetings every Wednesday at 7 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, 1212 Minneapolis Ave., Gladstone. Plan to attend a meeting and hear about on-going activities in support of community kids.

Free line dancing at the Escanaba Senior Center

ESCANABA — Learn dance steps while improving strength, balance, and muscle tone. Monday, Wednesday or Thursdays from 12:45 to 2 p.m. at the Escanaba Senior Center. Sign in at the office.

Cribbage in Gladstone

GLADSTONE — The Bay de Noc Peggers Club 218 will play each Monday at 7 p.m. at the Lake Bluff Retirement Village Community Center. Nine games of cribbage are played one-on-one with, one fourth of the players earning money. The club has existed for over 20 years and members earn points that add up to awards from the American Cribbage Congress (ACC). Points are earned with two for a win, zero for a loss and three for a skunk.

Play begins at 7 p.m. each Monday New players are welcomed. Call Joe or Donna Aird at 428-3844 for more information.
