Wells Lions 52 Club Raffle winner named

WELLS — The winner of the Wells Lions Club raffle for the week of June 11 is Pat Barron of Escanaba. Lippens won $100. This was week 45 of the raffle.

Amvets to host band Cross Roads this Friday

ESCANABA — Amvets Post 123 at 1315 North Lincoln Road in Escanaba are featuring country band Cross Roads from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, June 15. The public is welcome.

Eagles to hold breakfast

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles #1088 will serve breakfast Sunday, June 17 at the Eagles Hall 608 Ludington Street in Escanaba.

Dance in Trenary Sunday

TRENARY — There will be a dance held at the Trenary Community Building on June 17 from 1 to 5 p.m. Music will be by Cedar Creek.

Vacation Bible School planned in Bark River

Camp BURR-E-AN: VBS starts on June 17

ESCANABA — Bearan Baptist Church is offering Camp BURR-E-AN: Vacation Bible School, June 17-20 from 6 to 8 p.m. for children in grades K-8.

Motorcycle ride will support Honor Flight

POWERS — The Upper Peninsula Honor Flight will be hosting a Summer Fun Ride for motorcycle riders on Saturday, July 14. The ride departs from TJ’s Sports Bar in Powers at noon CST.

Money raised from the ride benefits the Honor Flight, which takes U.P. veterans on an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. to see the monuments built in their honor.

In addition to the ride, there will be food, silent auctions, and 50/50 raffles. Music will be provided by Kamikaze Blitz beginning at 8 p.m.

Perkins School all-class reunion event planned

PERKINS — An all-class reunion will be held on July 14 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Perkins Lions Club. The reunion is for anyone who attended school in Perkins.

Please bring a dish to pass and whatever beverage you would like to drink. Silverware and plates will be provided.

Daily activities planned at the senior center

HERMANSVILLE — The Hermansville Senior Center has various activities going on every week. Everyday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., walking is available. A treadmill is also available. Morning coffee is also available everyday.

Every Tuesday and Friday, 15 games of bingo are played, starting at 12:45 p.m.

On Wednesday afternoons, enjoy a game of cards.

Craft day is the third Monday of the month.

Foot Clinic is on the third Tuesday of the month. The nurse arrives at 9 a.m. Bring a towel. Call the center to register for the foot clinic.
