American Legion Post 115 meets Wednesday

Senior Center changes Tuesday bingo hours

Breaking Bread at Jack’s Restaurant

RAPID RIVER — Breaking Bread is a monthly gathering at Jack’s Restaurant in Rapid River. A meal begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3 followed by a discussion on how Jesus is relevant to our lives as we live a life of compassion, love, peace and justice.

Democratic Party to meet Wednesday

ESCANABA — The Delta County Democratic Party will hold its monthly meeting on the first Wednesday of the month at USW Union Hall, 1201 Sheridan Rd., Escanaba. Social is at 6:30 p.m., with the meeting to follow at 7 p.m.

Bridge meetings every week at Civic Center

ESCANABA — Bridge for beginners, those who want to brush up, or just get more playing in will meet Thursday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Civic Center in Escanaba. For more information, call 786-8448 or 399-9535.

Mill retirees to meet

ESCANABA — The Mill Retirees group will meet on Wednesday, April 4 at the Union Hall on Sheridan Road at 10 a.m. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a 50/50 drawing.

All mill retirees are invited to attend. The group meets the first Wednesday of every month.

Christian Closet open this week in Escanaba

ESCANABA — Families and individuals in need will be welcome to visit the Christian Closet and select from an assortment of gently used clothing and shoes of all sizes, non-perishable food items, household supplies, and so much more. Everything will be available free of charge. The next date the closet will be open is April 4.

The Christian Closet is located at the Escanaba Church of Christ building located in Soo Hill at 5079 18th Road, Escanaba.

The Christian Closet will be open on the first Wednesday of every month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Taco Tuesday hosted by Legion Post 71 returns

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71 welcomes the public to Taco Tuesday serving from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. each week at the Gladstone Legion Hall, 802 Delta Ave. Both hard and soft tacos are available, along with nachos and nachos supreme.
