Wells Lions 52 Club Raffle Winner named

WELLS — The winner of the Wells Lions Club raffle for the week of March 19 is Nick Kallio of Escanaba. Kallio won $100. This was week 33 of the raffle.

Elks fish fry tonight

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Elks #354 will be serving their new Friday Fish Fry menu from 5 to 8 p.m. Come taste what everyone is talking about.

The card raffle continues to grow, let’s see if you’ll be the big winner.

NARFE Chapter 1900 March meeting set

MARQUETTE — Members of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) Chapter 1900 will meet in the board room of the Marquette Board of Light and Power office, 2200 Wright Street, at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 28.

After a short chapter meeting, the group will tour the Board of Light and Power’s new power-generating facility.

Heart of the North Lions set E-board meeting

SCHAFFER — The Heart of the North Lions Club will hold its monthly E-board meeting on Wednesday, March 28 at 6:45 p.m. at the Wrangler in Schaffer. The general club monthly meeting will be on Thursday, April 5 at 6:45 p.m. at the Wrangler. Please plan to attend and bring a guest.

The Heart of the North Lions Club is part of Lions Clubs International, the largest service club organization in the world. Amvets feature band ‘Country Classic’ tonight

ESCANABA — Amvets Post 123, located at 1315 North Lincoln Road in Escanaba, are featuring the country and variety band Country Classic from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, March 23. Veterans and the public are welcome to join with a donation.

Taco Tuesday hosted by Legion Post 71 returns

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71 welcomes the public to Taco Tuesday serving from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. each week at the Gladstone Legion Hall, 802 Delta Ave. Both hard and soft tacos are available, along with nachos and nachos supreme.

Daily activities at the senior center

HERMANSVILLE — The Hermansville Senior Center has various activities going on every week. Everyday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., walking is available. They also have a treadmill available. Morning coffee is also available everyday.

Every Tuesday and Friday, 15 games of bingo are played, starting at 12:45 p.m.

On Wednesday afternoons, enjoy a game of cards.

Craft day is the third Monday of the month.

Foot Clinic is on the third Tuesday of the month. The nurse arrives at 9 a.m. Bring a towel. Call the center to register for the foot clinic.
