Delta Coin Club seeks

coin enthusiasts

GLADSTONE — The next meeting of the Delta Coin Club is Tuesday, July 11, at 6 p.m. Coin collectors wanted. The club meets every second Tuesday at 817 Delta Ave., Gladstone. New members or anyone interested in coins are always welcome.

Rock dance July 9

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd., on Sunday, July 9 from 1 to 5 p.m. Enjoy the music of The Country Express. Door cost, $5 per person. Free will donation lunch will be available. For more information, call Alice at 356-6588. All proceeds benefit our Senior Corporation.

Friends of DATA meeting

scheduled July 12

GLADSTONE–The next Friends of Delta Area Transit Authority (DATA) meeting will be Wednesday, July 12, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Fairview Manor in Gladstone. Transportation to and from these meetings is provided by DATA at no cost. When calling DATA, let them know you are attending the Friends of DATA meeting.

AAUW co-sponsors concert

at Northern Sun Winery

ESCANABA — Northern Sun Winery and the Escanaba area branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW) are once again teaming up to bring a musical afternoon to area residents. This year’s concert features a young vocal duo, Genna and Jesse. Their music covers folk, jazz, blues, pop, and oldies but goodies from the ’60s and ’70s.

The festivities begin on Sunday, July 9 with vineyard and wine-making tours at 3 p.m., followed by the concert at 4 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic food or appetizers. Wine will be available by the glass and bottle. No outside alcoholic beverages will be permitted. Soft drinks and water may be brought to the concert. A food and and soft drink vendor will be onsite as well. Participants may bring lawn chairs.

Proceeds from the concert are donated by Northern Sun Winery to AAUW’s scholarships at Bay College and the AAUW STEM awards program.

Isabella hosts Farmer’s

Market on Fridays

ISABELLA — Farmer’s Market will be held each Friday starting July 14 though Oct. 6 at the Isabella Community Hall. The hall is located south of Hwy U S 2 on County Rd. 495. The market is open from 3 to 6 p.m.

Grab a dinner to go

on Thursday nights

GLADSTONE — Memorial United Methodist Church of Gladstone will be providing a grab-and-go bag with a grilled brat or hot dog, chips and a drink for $5 prior to each Thursday Night Concert in the Park. The public can drive up to the church and grab a quick dinner to go and then continue down Lake Shore Drive to enjoy the concert each Thursday. The sale will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Proceeds go to support Vacation Bible School.

Cedar Creek Country

Band performs Friday

ESCANABA –The Cedar Creek Country Band is scheduled to perform live Friday, July 7 at the AMVETS Hall in Escanaba from 7 to 11 p.m. A $5 donation will be accepted at the door. A meat raffle will be held, along with a $25 door prize drawing. All are welcome.
