“Voices at Bay”

ESCANABA — Bay College is proud to present “Voices at Bay” featuring Upper Peninsula natives Joshua Davis and Karlee Metzger in concert on Thursday, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Besse Theater.

Davis made it to the Top 3 on NBC’s “The Voice” contest in 2015. He went on to sing high profile duets with Sheryl Crow and Adam Levine. Davis also helped break the mold of original material being showcased on the hit television singing series.

Davis was the first artist to sing an original on the show, which spawned the later segment, “This Week of Original Songs.” A tried and true Michigan musician, Davis released a new album, “The Way Back Home” on Sept. 8. Produced by Steve Berlin of Los Lobos, Cali. “The Way Back Home” is Davis’ latest full-length studio album and first since his 2015 appearance on The Voice.

Metzger, a Bay College and Gladstone Braves alumni, made it to the Top 10 on NBC’s “The Voice” contest in 2016. She is now in Nashville, Tenn. singing and song writing. This down to earth, small-town, indie/folk artist will be opening the show.

“We are so excited to have such great entertainment coming to Bay College,” said Melssa VanBrocklin, community events and marketing coordinator at Bay College. “Bring the whole family out to meet the performers and enjoy our local talent.”

There is a fee to attend this event. Tickets can be purchased at the student accounts office or online at www.baycollege.edu/tickets.
