ESCANABA – Kalli Anne Cavadeas, originally of Escanaba, and John Matthew Huston of Rockford, Mich., announce their engagement.

Kalli is the daughter of George and Linda Cavadeas of Escanaba, and John is the son of Patty Buursma of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Doug (Tess) Huston of Lowell, Mich.

Kalli is an Escanaba High School graduate, and she also graduated from Grand Valley State University (GVSU). She is currently employed at Groupon in Scottsdale, Ariz.

John is a Rockford High School graduate and also a GVSU graduate. He is currently employed at NCUA.

With their parents, the couple is planning a Aug. 27 wedding in Grand Haven, Mich.
