NEW LIFE

ESCANABA — Sunday worship services will take place at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and nursery is available for both services. A variety of children and adult discipleship groups are offered in both small and large group settings with specific needs in mind. “Connections” fellowship will be held immediately after each service.

Men’s Bible study gathers Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Christian men’s fellowship coffee hour follows at 8:15 p.m. at Culver’s.

Wednesday summer ministries will be at Besse Park in Escanaba at 6:30 p.m. Hot dogs and chips will be provided. Bring a dish to pass if you like. Youth (grades 7th-12th) will continue to meet at New Life from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Adult Bible study will continue to meet from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. in room 13. Nursery will not be available on Wednesday nights during the summer but will resume in the fall.

Celebrate Recovery is on Thursday, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. for fellowship. The meeting starts at 7 p.m.

The men’s breakfast is held on the last Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. at the church.

HYDE/POWERS — The Ninth Sunday after Pentecost will be celebrated at St. Paul’s 8:30 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Pastor Ronald Zindler will preach under the general theme of “Building Blocks for a Christian Home” based on Galatians 5:22. The Lord’s Prayer series will be tabled until fall due to pastor’s surgery. The first building block is love and with the help of 1 John 4:7-16, we will see how God’s love brought us into His family, and how His love also brings love into our families.

ESCANABA — Bring a chair, a blanket or a cup of coffee to Aronson Island at 8:30 a.m. Sundays for a sunrise beach service, or attend a service at 10:30 a.m. at central church. Pastor’s Sunday message is “What gift can you bring?” All are welcome.

WDBC Radio 680AM airs the 10:30 a.m. worship service each Sunday.

The “Loving Fingers” quilting group meets every Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Room 9. New quilters are always welcome.

Pastor Elise will hold community office hours every Wednesdays from 3 to 4:30 p.m. near the swings at Ludington Park; in case of rain, she will be at Stone’s Deli. ESCANABA — The church has a food tent at the Waterfront Art Festival in Ludington Park today. Stop by and get some homemade goodies.

On Sunday, the worship service is at 9:30 a.m., and communion will be served — this is open to all. A time of coffee and fellowship will follow the service.

Bible Study is on Tuesday at 9 a.m., with readings from the New Testament book of Romans.

The church produces Let the Bible Speak on WLUC TV-6. The thirty-minute Bible program is hosted by Dave Grant every Sunday morning at 10 a.m.

We’re starting our new year of lessons and activities for the Lads to Leaders (L2L). Families are invited to join us on Wednesday evenings for our activities in preparation for the annual awards ceremony.
