Boudreau’s celebrate 50th

ESCANABA — Gary and Mary (Hirn) Boudreau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was wed Jan. 14, 1967 at St. Joseph Church in Escanaba. A reception was held at Sherman Hotel in Escanaba.

Original bridesmaids at the ceremony were Kathy (Martens) Peloza, friend of the bride, Sandy (Lynch) Terrien, friend of the bride, Julie (Boudreau) Anderson, sister of the groom, and Patty (Hirn) Stiglitz served as junior bridesmaid, sister of the bride. Groomsmen included Roger Boudreau, brother of the groom, Roy Johnson, friend of the groom, and Robert Brown, friend of the groom. Donald Hirn was the soloist, and Marie Hirn served as the organist.

The couple celebrated their anniversary with dinner at the Stonehouse with family and had a small party afterwards at the home of their oldest son.

Gary is retired from Mead Paper. He is involved with St. Anne’s Church, Knights of Columbus, Ford River Township Board, and he is a Vietnam Veteran. His wife, Mary, is a field supervisor for the Department of Commerce. She is involved with St. Anne’s Church, and enjoys yoga and reading.

Their children are Gary Boudreau Jr. of Escanaba, Jennifer Boudreau of DePere, Wis., Becky Romps of Escanaba, and Edward Boudreau of Austin, Texas. They also have seven grandchildren.Gary and Mary Boudreau
