NEW LIFE

ESCANABA — Sunday worship services will take place at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and nursery is available for both services. A variety of children and adult discipleship groups are offered in both small and large group settings with specific needs in mind. “Connections” fellowship will be held immediately after each service.

Men’s Bible study gathers Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Christian men’s fellowship coffee hour follows at 8:15 p.m. at Culver’s.

The Ladies Luncheon is held on the second Tuesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stonehouse.

HYDE/POWERS — St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hyde will be celebrating the third Sunday of Epiphany at their 8:30 a.m. Sunday worship service. BARK RIVER UNITED

BARK RIVER — The third Sunday of Epiphany will be celebrated at the 9 a.m. worship service. Scriptures will include: Isaiah 9:1-4; Psalm 27:1, 4-9; 1 Corinthians 1:10-18; and Matthew 4:12-23.

Parishioners are invited to bring soup, crackers, and canned sandwich makings for “Souper Bowl Sunday” in February. These items may be placed in the specially marked container near the altar, and will be distributed to persons in need of a hot meal.

Pastor Chris will be seeking pledges for Walk For Warmth which will also take place in February. The pledge sheet will be available on a clipboard at the church.

The men’s ecumenical breakfast will be held at the Firekeeper’s Restaurant on Tuesday at 8 a.m.

Kids-for-Christ will be held Wednesday, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. This includes: Bible lessons, crafts, singing and more for children aged three years through sixth graders. Nutritious snacks are always welcomed for the group and can be dropped off at the church kitchen.

ESCANABA — The women will meet for breakfast at The Family Inn today at 9 a.m.

The worship service will be held at 9:30 a.m. There will not be Sunday school afterward as it is Pizza Sunday, so a pizza brunch will follow the service.

Chancel Choir will meet at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

The sign-up for Hope at the Inn is now in the lobby for the church’s week to host in February.
