Beveridge’s celebrate 65 years

ESCANABA — William and Constance (Hart) Beveridge of Escanaba celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. The couple was wed Dec. 1, 1951 at All Saints Church in Gladstone.

Original attendants at the ceremony were Dolores Mariucci; sister of the bride, Joan Jacobsen; sister of the groom, Prentiss Beveridge; brother of the groom, and Robert Hart; brother of the bride.

William retired as captain of the Escanaba Public Safety Department on Sept. 1, 1992. Constance worked as a sales clerk at the Leader Store for 21 years, retiring in 1991.

Both Connie and Bill enjoyed 21 years of retirement spending the winter months in Arizona. They are now back in Escanaba enjoying spending time with the family.

Their six children are Shirley Webber, Pat (Bob) LaFave, Vicky (Dave) Axford, Mike (Karin) Beveridge, Wendy (Mike) Swille, all of Escanaba, and Mark (Carol) Beveridge of New Berlin, Wis.

They also have 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.beveridge-annv-pic
