Eskymos’ spikers swept by Kingsford
KINGSFORD — Katherine Erickson’s serving triggered Kingsford past Escanaba 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-20) in Great Northern Conference volleyball Tuesday.
Erickson was at the serving line for a 10-0 run in the first set.
“Katherine started out the night strong which really set the tone for us,” said Kingsford Coach Jaclynn Kreider. “We served aggressive all night long and were effective at taking Escanaba out of their offense.
“I was especially impressed with the way the girls executed our game plan. They played smart and placed the ball in the open spots.”
Kreider said Maggie Strehlow had “an outstanding night at the net.”
“She was ripping the ball the hardest I’ve seen her this year.” Kreider said. “It was a fun night.”
The Flivvers, 5-2 in GNC duals, visit Marquette on Thursday.
