Bay College cross country

WINNECONNE, Wis. — Gladstone graduate Zoie Berg continued to run strong for the Bay College women Saturday, placing sixth among 59 runners in the six-kilometer cross country race at the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational.

Berg covered the muddy 3.7-mile course in 26 minutes, 27 seconds. Concordia’s Mackenzie Doth was overall winner at 25:46.

Concordia also took the team title with 31 points. The Norse were sixth at 134.

Lauren Cousineau of Escanaba was Bay’s second runner at 31:29. She was followed by Lauren Peters of Munising (32:14), Jody Peters of Gladstone (35:34) and Katy Combs of Escanaba (40:28).

Macalester College took the men’s championship with 32 points. Bay was ninth at 242.

James Young of Gladstone paced the Norse in the 8-K event in 32:59.
