ESCANABA — Elmer’s Country Market swept a doubleheader over Rapid River Logistics winning 16-2, 15-3 to raise the season record to 11-5. RRL dropped to 0-16 with the losses. Elmer’s nine-run second inning keyed the game one victory. Holly Hereau led Elmer’s with two hits including a triple. Krissy Paquin, Jean Healy and Lorrie Botruff all added hits for the winners and Bobbi Jo Rafus led the RRL offense. In game two, RRL started strong again and tied the game 3-3 in the first inning. Elmer’s offense got cooking with Bridget Becker going 3-3 with a double and a triple. Laureen Parrett, Brenda Madden and Holly Hereau all had two hits each for Elmer’s. Melissa Schinke and Elizabeth Debaker led RRLwith doubles.
