GARDEN CORNERS — The Big Bay de Noc girls’ basketball team earned its first victory Friday night, defeating Superior Central 47-35.

Holli Stapleton scored 19 points and Brooke Dalgord had 17 points to pace the Black Bears (1-1). Emma Rondeau led the Cougars with 11 points in their season opener.

Big Bay returns to action Friday at Norway, while Superior Central (0-1) hosts Stephenson tonight.
