ORV safety class

ESCANABA — An ATV/ORV Safety Certification Class will be conducted June 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the MDNR Pocket Park on the U.P. State Fairgrounds

Certification is required for any youth less than 16 years of age and any adult wanting to learn the fundamentals of safe riding and related regulations. Participants are encouraged to bring their ATV/ORV or motorcycle to the class along with helmet and eye protection for use on the skills track during the class.

The program, materials and lunch will be provided free of charge and is sponsored by the Delta County Sheriff Department, Michigan DNR, OSF St. Francis Hospital and the Delta County Sportsmen’s Off-Road Vehicle Association (SORVA).
