Crow leads Gladstone to 13-0 victory over Peshtigo
PESHTIGO, Wis. — Jared Crow scattered five hits, struck out nine and walked none Friday night as the Gladstone Braves romped to a 13-0 baseball victory over the Peshtigo Bulldogs.
Crow worked the first six innings and Carson Shea took over in the seventh, allowing one hit.
“Jared had real good control,” said Braves’ coach Don Lauscher. “His curveball was working real good. He pitched whale of a game.”
The Braves collected 11 hits, with Lucas Weinert leading the way with three, including a double.
“Lucas continued to hit well,” said Lauscher. “He had five hits in last night’s (Thursday’s) doubleheader against Marquette.”
Gladstone scored three times in the opening frame and added two runs each in the fourth and fifth and six in the seventh.
“We played all 16 players and we’re real pleased with the reserves who came in,” said Lausher. “We continued to hit the ball very well and our pitching has been outstanding all year. We’re getting better as the season goes on.”
The Braves are hosting Iron Mountain in a doubleheader today.
