Why am I not surprised that 73% of people are saying no? Typical response. "Do you want to pay more money?" Of course the answer is going to be no.

Cheesehead, please wake up your other braincell so they might have a conversation before posting something so ignorant. On top of the millions upon millions hunters and fishermen pay in license fees, there's this thing called the Pittman-Robertson Act of 1937. Which through a tax on firearms and ammunition, has put billions of dollars into to wildlife conservation. Nobody pays for their hobby quite like the hunter, or fisherman.

Concerned about nada,

Like good republicans everywhere,

Evidently, “SPORTSMeN” aren’t paying enough !

If ALL that these ‘enthusiasts’,

you claim pay is enough and already too much,

then why does the state need more money?

and, if you guy’s don’t want to pay any more money,

the state should stop spending money on your hobby!

Why should your playtime get a taxpayer subsidized “hobby” and freebie sandbox ?

Pay the Toll or don’t ride the Freeway !

Concerned Nada,

Tell you wife she need's to 'forget' about another TatToo !

Tell her you're taking the money for your hobby, and you're standing your ground on this one . . .

After-all,

when you're in you're pickup, you're the king of your dashboard !

Cheesehead, the state doesn't subsidize your "hobby",because it involves a box of kleenex, a bottle of Jergens, and a picture of Justin Bieber!

ConcernedNot,

You are quite correct in your description of my ‘hobby’.

I do provide a box of Kleenex, a bottle of Jurgens’ Lotion, and a Picture of Justin Beaver.

Actually, FYI, my ‘hobby’ is really my avocation.

I enjoy delivering healthcare and psychological counseling to the needy.

I do not advertise these services, but enjoy a fine income just by word of mouth advertising.

I make house calls while you guys are out playing with your hobby.

Long live the good life derived from the satisfaction of sportsman like you,

actually, YOU BOYS subsidize my hobby,

a richly rewarding and never ending source of bankable income at that.

You may now, look up the word AVOCATION;

I’ve spelled it for you to make it easier.

Be a lert, and look for the tell-tail signs of Kleenex, a well-used bottle of Jugens’ Lotion and a picture of Justin Beaver.

What did they used to say:

“Killroy Was Here?!”

from listening to you talk about how cool you think or thought you are.

Cheese the state spends money on hunting and fishing because it does bring in revenue to the state and local communities and provides benefits to more than just hunters and fisherman.

I'm not exactly sure what your hobby is- providing healtcare and psychological counseling to the needy is pretty open for interpretation but it doesn't really sound like you understand anything about this issue.

It also sounds like you're possibly a little to bitter about something to be counseling anyone on anything. However, if you do counsel people and get paid, how do you get paid? You may very well get subsidized by the government unless you work for free or get cash.

So, On Balance,

many would say that the costs of providing for peoples hobbies outweighs the total spending for your desert pie.

If money, were indeed forthcoming from outside ‘sportsman and recreational’ types,

then the argument is,

“Why does the state NEED MORE MONEY to spend on your recreational hobbies,

if there are so great and huge amounts of money revenue winding up in state coffers?

Never mind the argument about spending by ‘sportsman’ within the state,

IT’S NOT NEW MONEY !

It's merely 'money' that is recirculated, and was always here.

Just ‘man-up’ and ‘sportsman-up’,

pay the fees,

you use it, pay for it,

or be content to sit home and listen to some femail order you around!

Ahemmnn,

Pauche and johnnycakes,

What EXTRA money does hunting and fishing really “bring-in” to the state?

Are the costs to ‘lure’ this so-called extra money,

less or more than what is really “brought-in” to the state?

Many are inclined to believe, rightly so,

that the taxpayers spend far more money on your hobby,

then is marginally NEW MONEY, “brought-in” from outside this state, otherwise snyder and his cronies wouldn't be so eager for you to 'ponie-up'.

What about the money you spend when you leave the state to do your shopping and car-buying elsewhere?

This is money that leaves the state, and is a negative conrtibution to spending within the state.

@BryanJSebeck, excellent point - Who's going to support an increase? - Well, folks who don't buy hunting and fishing licenses will top that list. After All, what 'extra' is gained by the hunter or fisherman for the added expense? Nothing.. What is gained by the dude who wants a "Fling a Disk Frizbee Course" ? Everything, he gets someone else to pay for it.. I see a fine line in how much is charged for licenses these days and the total, "I ain't gonna pay and won't hunt this year" - Thus actually bringing in less money. Now, if it were to construct better fishing or hunting facilities, roads and such.. The sportsman who buys a license would then directly receive benefit.. Otherwise.. make those "Frizbee Tossers" support their own fun and games outdoors..

BTW: Speaking of the "Fling a disk" rave that is sweeping the area.. I've seen where these things are going in, and my best advice if you plan to visit the park or wherever.. "Watchout!" going from 'net to net' crosses areas where folks used to be able to lay-about the grass.. have a blanket picnic.. walk their dogs.. play with their kids.. but now.. 'Watchout!' Hey, I know.. let's introduce paint-ball skeet (Frizbee) shooting.. if you knock down someone's flung disk you score!

That person is just not you.

You are clueless. Many projects funded by revenue from hunting and fishing licenses have benefits that reach outside the hunting and fishing community.

Since you seem to know about heads, cheese, and such, let’s say you are a blockhead,

Cheese, I pay my license fees and pay them willingly. That isn't the question here. We are talking about if they should be raised NOT if there should be any fee at all. Hard to follow I know.

You know little and say less other than snide remarks and condescending comments you can barely make a complete comprehensive sentence so cut the "Your dumb", "I'm smarter than everone" stance and provide a solid reason as to why they should be raised other than you think they should because.......WHAT, you pay for you hobby?
