Bill1954, There is no model in which a household that makes $250k is considered middle class. Only the top 1.5% of income earners make more than $250k. Even that $106k figure that you report is within the top 10% of income earners. The median income in the US is a little over $46k. In the UP that figure is significantly lower, just over $27k. The actual middle class is far larger and far poorer than most people imagine. The middle class lifestyle, however, generally requires an income of at least the top 20-25% ($77k-$92k).

Aside from that, you're completely right. There is no data to support the claim that tax cuts create jobs.

Yes there should be cuts there also should and have to be balance. Giving tax cuts to take jobs out of this country hasnt helped create jobs in America. It does no good to have a dvd player price below 50.00 if you dont have a job to purchase it. If middle class is 250,000.00 and no one pays into SS after 106,000.00 then NO one in the upper middle class or richer is required to pay for SS. Tax cuts have NOT created jobs as we are being told. Clinton years created jobs and a fair tax with reasonable interest rates on your savings and for the most part on your loans.

The question isn't whether or not cuts can be made. The question is what to cut and by how much. Sure, I could go in and make cuts to save us tons of money as well, but we wouldn't be a republic if that happened, we'd be a dictatorship.

Don't tell me they cannot make some cuts to get the house in order. Put me in there and I will cut..... for sure.
