I agree with Mr. Curran's letter. I have always thought that if I did not own property and therefore didn't pay property tax, then I should not impose a tax increase on those who do. Don't we have enough of that with governments, both state and federal?
How many "Yes" votes were from those who actually pay no taxes?
Then you have the problem of repeat elections until you get the right outcome. Could we do that with the Presidential elections? And how about those who were against? Can they take it to another vote? I didn't think so.
Again, if DATA were run better and they really needed more funding then I would be one of the first to help.
