ESCANABA - Escanaba City Band will be playing at the Karas Band Shell in Ludington Park at 7:30 p.m. today. (Rain day is Thursday, 7:30 p.m.).
Selections for the evening with Bruce Cassell directing include "March On An Irish Air," "Festive Overture," "Moondust," "Lassus Trombone," "The Shadow Of Your Smile," "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "Village Tavern Polka," "That's A Plenty," "Mash-up, Vol. 2," selections from "Wicked," and Marche Militaire Francaise."
Grief support group
ESCANABA - OSF Home Care offers a Community Grief Group meeting on Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. in the second floor conference room of OSF St. Francis Hospital.
The group offers a warm, caring and confidential environment that allows grievers the opportunity to be supported by others who understand.

Tuesday - Senior Screening;
Wednesday - WIC and Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP);
Thursday - Family Planning;
Friday - WIC and Family Planning.

Healthy Eating Tips
ESCANABA - The Northern Lights YMCA - Delta Center will be hosting an "Ask the Experts" today from 5-7 p.m. The topic will be, "Healthy Eating Tips" led by Linda Klope, OSF.

Gladstone Senior Center
GLADSTONE - Gladstone Senior Citizens Non-profit Corporation in conjunction with Community Tai Chi is offering Tai Chi on Thursday at 10 a.m. Classes are designed for people who want a program of exercise that is gentle on the joints and has been proven in research studies to reduce pain and improve ability to do more daily activities.

Salad Luncheon and
Tour in Garden
GARDEN - Village Artisans of Garden will host its annual Salad Luncheon and Tour on Saturday. Featured on this year's tour will be a spectacular Quilt Show hosted at the Congregational Church. Displayed by Friendship Quilters of Garden, the Quilt Show will include old family favorites as well as new work done by the group. Tickets for the Artisans raffle in September will be on sale at the Gallery.
A special feature this year for the men will be two woodworking shops. Charlie Thelander's shop on State Street was begun by his father-in-law many years ago. The shop belonging to Dennis Winter was recently built and includes many unique features designed by Dennis for efficiency and comfort.
Visitors will have a chance to win a prize basket containing a copy of "Our Heritage" and the collection of newsletters, "The Peninsula Historian."
Tickets and brochure may be obtained at the Garden Gallery on State Street beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. The donation is $10. The tour will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. John Hall.
Proceeds from the event help to sponsor the art/enrichment programs in the community sponsored by the Village Artisans.
