ESCANABA - Emily Marie Krieg and Christopher Robin Charbonneau were united in marriage on May 24 at New Life Assembly of God. The afternoon ceremony was officiated by Pastor Jason Janich.
The bride is the daughter of Carol Kolinsky and the late Dean Krieg. She is the granddaughter of Lorrayne Krans and Charles Krieg of Escanaba and the late Lenard and Margret Westerberg of Nisula. Emily is a 2004 graduate of Escanaba High School, and is currently enrolled at Northern Michigan University studying surgical technology. She is employed at Reflections Salon.
Given in marriage by her stepfather, Thomas Kolinksy, Emily chose her friend and fellow freebird, Jessica Holland, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were: Megan Rogers, a friend of the bride; Ashley Wakefield, cousin of the groom; Rachael and Morgan Charbonneau, both sisters of the groom.

The son of Cindy Charbonneau and Roger Charbonneau, Christopher is the grandson of Shirley and the late Hubert Casperson of Escanaba and the late Jenny and Rayne Charbonneau of Bark River. Chris is a 2002 graduate of Escanaba High School and a 2004 graduate of Bay de Noc College. He is employed at Newpage Corp. as a heavy equipment operator.
Standing as best man was Joe Plouff, a friend of the groom. Groomsmen were: Thomas Jr. and Dane Casperson, cousins of the groom; Kyle Brown, a friend of the groom; and Matthew Krieg, brother of the bride.
Serving as ushers were Mikki O'Dell, a friend of the couple, and Aaron Krieg, cousin of the bride.
After honeymooning in Door County and Wisconsin Dells, the couple plans to make their home in Escanaba.
