Don’t mess with Dag

GLADSTONE - Officer Dave Johnson of the Escanaba Public Safety K-9 Unit and his dog Dag gave a K-9 demonstration during Gladstone's Crazy Daze. Dag is a 3-year-old Belgian malinois, was trained in Holland, and has been with the EPS K-9 unit since August 2012. After obtaining the dog, Johnson and Dag went through an extensive five-week training course at Vohne Liche Kennels in Denver, Ind. Dag is trained in narcotic detection and is also proficient in tracking, apprehension and handler protection.
