ESCANABA - Sunday morning worship services are at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Nursery is available for both services. Sunday school classes are provided for all ages at 9. Children in grades 1-5 meet for Kids' Zone during the 10:30 service. Classroom activities are also provided during the 10:30 service for preschool-kindergarten children. The church's annual picnic will be held at the pavilion in Ludington Park beginning at 11. The church will provide the meats and beverages; all others are asked to bring a dish to share. There will be games, bounce house, scavenger hunt, watermelon-eating contest, etc. for the kids.

HYDE - The Second Sunday after Pentecost will be observed this weekend at an 8:30 a.m. Sunday service. In place of the sermon, the congregation will be viewing the recent WELS short film, "Come, Follow Me," detailing the meaning of Jesus' death and resurrection to people like Peter and ourselves. The Lord's Supper will also be celebrated. A "Coffee and Conversation" time will follow the service.

A Sunday afternoon performance by Classical Bells, a community handbell ensemble from the Detroit area will take place at 4 p.m. The concert is in celebration of their 30th year as a performing ensemble. The group plays on over six octaves of Malmark handbells and seven complete octaves of choir chimes, making their collective instrument one of the most extensive in the world. A free-will offering will be received (suggested donation $10).
