ESCANABA - The 29th annual Krusin' Klassics Fun Run starts today at the U.P. State Fairgrounds and downtown Escanaba.
The two-day celebration of automobiles kicks off today with the registration of vehicles for the event's car show. Registration is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the fairgrounds in Building No. 5. Events continue Saturday at the fairgrounds.
In association with the Krusin' Klassics Fun Run, the Escanaba Downtown Development Association and the Escanaba Partners in Business will be hosting activities and sales on Ludington Street Friday prior to the annual parade of classic cars tonight at 7 p.m..
The Escanaba Downtown Ribfest will start at 3 p.m. and run until 6 p.m. on Ludington Street. Guests of the event will be able to sample ribs from Crispigna's Restaurant, the Ludington Grill, Hereford & Hops, Applewood Eatery, Bobaloon's, and Shane Larson BBQ & Catering. Live music will be provided by Resolution.
Tickets are available for $15 at the DDA Center Court. Only 250 tickets are available for the rib-tasting event.
Following Ribfest and the downtown sales, the annual Krusin' Klassics parade will begin at 7 p.m. The parade will travel from Ludington Park, down Ludington Street and along the Lake Michigan shoreline to Gladstone and Kipling before the cars return to the fairgrounds.
