ESCANABA - Elaine M. St. Martin, 93, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, May 7, 2014, at the Bishop Noa Home.
Elaine was born May 19, 1920, in Escanaba, the daughter of Ernest and Corrine Beauchamp. She was raised in Escanaba and attended and graduated from St. Joseph High School. On Jan. 8, 1944, Elaine was united in marriage to Frank St. Martin at St. Anne Catholic Church in Escanaba. She was a longtime member of St. Anne Catholic Church where she volunteered on the funeral luncheon committee and at other church events. She was a member of the St. Gerard's Circle of St. Anne's Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Elaine enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, gardening and spending time with her family.
Elaine is survived by three sons, Robert (Kay) St. Martin of Cincinnati, Ohio, William (Sandra) St. Martin of Menominee, and Edward (Rhonda) St. Martin of Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Margaret (Daniel) Ammel of Escanaba, and Jean (David) Niedzielski of Manistee, Mich.; 12 grandchildren, Jean, Lisa, Peter, Mark, Paul, Ed, Steven, Paul, Jill, Dan, Diane and Mat; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Vernon) Winter of Mankato, Minn.; four sisters-in-law, Louise Boddy of Escanaba, Mary Arbour of Escanaba, Helen Finn of Milwaukee, and Mary St. Martin of Knoxville, Tenn.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, Bertrand and Leo Beauchamp, two sisters, Elsie VanHorn and Jane Mullaly, and a great-granddaughter, Danielle Martin.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Skradski Family Funeral Home with a prayer service to be held at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Escanaba with Rev. Fr. Fran DeGroot officiating. A luncheon will follow the services in the fellowship hall. Elaine will be laid to rest in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
