MARQUETTE - John Lake Anderson, 64, of 442 Rock St., Marquette, Mich., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at his home.
John was born Feb. 10, 1950, in Escanaba, Mich., the son of Frank A. and Ollie (LaBumbard) Lake. He grew up in Thompson and graduated from Manistique High School.
For over 20 years he worked for the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette.
John is survived by his former wives, Bonnie Hoag of Manistique, Mich., and Diana Anderson of Negaunee, Mich.; children, John (Kelli) Anderson, Deana Anderson and Nicole (Jamie) Smith, all of Manistique, Mich., and Kirk Anderson of Orlando, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Lois Goudreau of Sunfield, Mich.; brothers, Allen (Irene) Grimm of Manistique, Mich.; Lester (Jean) Lake of Eden Rapids, Mich.; and Frank (Diane) Hasting of Manistique, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Anderson; sisters, Mary Lake and Carolyn Sundling; and brother, Arthur Grimm.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Moss Lake Cemetery in Isabella Township, Mich.
A luncheon will be served for family and friends on Saturday, March 1, at 1 p.m., at the Manistique Moose Lodge.
