TOLEDO, Ohio - Robert "Bob" Grau passed away Jan. 14, 2014, in his home surrounded by his loving family and devoted dog, Lucy. He was born May 25, 1931, to Carl and Mary (Walmsley) Grau at Toledo Hospital. He graduated from Whitmer High in 1949 and married his high school sweetheart, Beatrice Mohr, on Oct. 18, 1952. During the Korean War, Bob served in the U.S. Navel Reserves. He owned and operated the Western Auto Store on Dorr near Reynolds until 1986, after which he drove school bus for Washington Local Schools and the Boys & Girls Club. He served as president of Glann School PTA, a founding father and first president of the S.W. YMCA, and a council member of Epiphany Lutheran Church.
