Employees, residents and family members of Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers have been donating to the facility's Mitten Tree for seven years. They have filled the tree, not only with mittens, but hats and scarves as well. Each year, the items are donated to one of the nearby schools. This year the donation will go to Carney/Nadeau School. Residents and staff assisting with the hanging of the mittens are: from left front, Mary Sand, Geraldine Gardiner, and Tracy Blahnik. Standing are Violet Kopecky and Karen Weiher.
