BREITUNG TOWNSHIP - Two troopers were injured when a 15-year-old suspect in a stolen car rammed a patrol car that was pursuing the Wisconsin juvenile Monday morning, according to a news release from Michigan State Police in Iron Mountain.

After being alerted to a report of a stolen vehicle being chased by Wisconsin police nearing the Michigan border at Niagra at around 8:40 a.m., Iron Mountain Police caught up with the suspect in Iron Mountain where troopers intercepted and overtook the vehicle to warn oncoming traffic.

The suspect vehicle then rammed the state police vehicle, causing the stolen car to lose control, leave the roadway and overturn on U.S. 2 in Breitung Township.

Two troopers and the suspect were transported by ambulance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital where they were treated and later released.

The teen, of Florence, Wis., was taken into custody by police who are seeking several felony charges against the juvenile. The car was reported stolen from Appleton.
