In 1945, Rose settled into the dairy farming life. She was able to work the earth and produce beautiful gardens of vegetables and fruit. She canned everything and her basement was filled with a colorful array of filled jars for winter every year.

Faith was important to Rose seeing to her children's attendance at Sunday mass and teaching them their prayers in their younger years.

Rose was the soft-hearted force behind her family seeing to everything that needed tending. She saw to the time management of meals, kids, helping out neighbors and praying her rosary daily, and helping Jim with cow milking during hay season.

She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cooking and baking. She never "met" a dessert recipe she couldn't make. Rose also enjoyed the pleasure of her kid's visits and grandkid's hugs and great grandkid's sweet kisses.

Rose was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. She enjoyed the visits of Rev. Darryl Pepin and Deacon Mike LeBeau.

She is survived by sons, James (Darlene) of Wilson, Edward (Irene) of Perronville, John (JoAnn) of Gross Point Farm, Mich., Patrick of Perronville, Wayne (Cindy) of Gladstone; daughters, Linda (Lenny) Nord of Perronville and Jan (Bill) Bower of Bark River. In addition, Rose is survived by 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include brother-in-law, Richard; cousin, Hermand; many nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by her special son, Gregory, and her much missed husband, James.
