GLADSTONE - Kari Beth Krouth became the bride of Joel Bradley Nordin on Sept. 28. Pastor Peggy Rose presided over the 2 p.m. ceremony that took place at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone.
The newlyweds were honored at a reception held at the Island Resort and Casino.
Joel and Kari honeymooned on Mackinac Island.

The bride is the daughter of Diane and Bob Krouth of Gladstone. She graduated from Gladstone High School in 2005 and was awarded a bachelor's degree in social work from Northern Michigan University in 2009. She is a social worker at Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba.
The son of Anne and Brad Nordin of Escanaba, Joel is a 2005 Escanaba High School graduate, and a 2010 Lake Superior State University graduate where he earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He is a corrections officer for the Delta County Sheriff's Department.
Becky Parmet, a friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Samm Rian and Tiffany Dahl, both friends of the bride, and Krista Warm and Kelsey Cowen, the bride's cousins. Junior bridesmaids were McKenna and Paxton Bullen, both friends of the groom.
Joel selected his brother, Jared Nordin, to stand as best man. Groomsmen were Craig Krouth, brother of the bride; Ryan Valiquette and Larry Valiquette, both friends of the groom; and Nick VanDreese, a cousin of the groom. Ring bearer was Karl Warm, a cousin of the bride.
Serving as ushers were Josh Cowen, cousin of the bride, and David VanDreese, cousin of the groom.
Kari and Joel are making their home in Escanaba.
