MANISTIQUE - Long-time Manistique area resident, Sally A. (Brock) Prater, 79, of Escanaba, died Nov. 14, 2013 at the Unity Hospice House in DePere, Wis.
She was born June 10, 1934 in Manistique, the daughter of William Roy and Lorraine (Robere) Stewart and attended Manistique area schools.
Sally was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her children and help her neighbors. She enjoyed dancing and crocheting.

She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Escanaba, the Schoolcraft County V.F.W. Auxiliary, the Manistique Eagles Club, and was a volunteer for the RSVP Organization of Escanaba. She took great pride in her volunteer work at the Christian Park Nursing Home in Escanaba.
Sally is survived by her daughter, Linda (Dan) Peterson of Stevens Point, Wis.; sons, Ivan Brock Jr. of Lawton, Okla., William (Wendy) Brock of Niles, Mich., Michael (Kathy) Brock of Green Bay, Wis., and Robert (Della) Brock of San Diego, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Freeland of Grafton, Wis. and Mary Holland of Brooksville, Fla.; brothers, John (Norma) Stewart of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and James Stewart of Grafton, Wis.,; several nieces and nephews; and her long-time best friend, Marie Baker-Sellman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Ivan Brock, Sr.; and an infant daughter, Mary Lynn Brock.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at the Messier-Broullire Funeral Home in Manistique.
Funeral Services will follow at 6 p.m., at the funeral home, with Father Glenn Theoret officiating.
